Evangelism in Emerging Culture

  • Most importantly, it happens in communities.
  • Three options (IMHO):
    1. Join an Existing Community
    2. Create One
    3. Transform an existing one into one

Number 3 is least favorite option and hardest to get right. 2 is good choice, but not easy. 1 is best.

Prosumers of Worship

Old Model: leaders produce, congregation consumes
New Model: leaders help congregation to produce AND consume

Four Principles of "Wikinomics"

(Per Williams & Tapscott)

  1. Openness
  2. Peering
  3. Sharing
  4. Acting Globably

All would be completely applicable and beneficial to the church.
