Sermon for October 5th, 2025
Romans 10:12-17 (NT p.160)
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and is generous to all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” 14 But how are they to call on one in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in one of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone to proclaim him? 15 And how are they to proclaim him unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” 16 But not all have obeyed the good news, for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?” 17 So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.
Reformation Sketches: Guillaume Farel - Proclamation & Passion
I heard about this young man. He was a huge football fan. He bought two tickets to the super bowl months ahead of time not realizing it was gonna be on the same day as his wedding. He paid USD 2,000.00 each for the tickets, so he put an add on Facebook asking if anyone would like to go in his place. He said it will be at 3:00 o’clock at First Baptist Church and her name is Tiffany.
