This is a simple song to help stop the war
I'll sing it once for ya', then we'll all sing it some more
And each and every time that somebody joins in
That's one less enemy...and one more friend.

So yeah, it's pretty unlikely to think that a song
Could stop all the fighting; could right all the wrong
Or comfort the families of the thousands who've died
It's pretty unlikely...but what if we tried?

So here's a simple song to help stop the war
I'll sing it once for ya', then we'll all sing it some more
And each and every time that somebody joins in
That's one less enemy...and one more friend.

Now changing the world always starts with just one
Whether it's Rosa Parks, or a carpenter's son
Maybe it's Mother Theresa, or Martin Luther King
And pretty soon others start to...sing!
We've got to Sing! Come on and Sing!

This is a simple song to help stop the war
I'll sing it once for ya', then we'll all sing it some more
And each and every time that somebody joins in
That's one less enemy...and one more friend.

It takes a simple song to help stop the war
Now I've sung it for you, go and sing it some more
Maybe by the time we get to the end
We'll have a few less enemies...and a few more friends.
